Enhanced occupational health psychologist services
At the beginning of the year, we strengthened our occupational health psychologist services!
Our professional team at Botnia Occupational Health now includes six occupational health psychologists. Read the greeting from our new employee, Josefina Öst, below.
Are you familiar with occupational health psychologist services?
Occupational health psychologist services are part of statutory occupational health care, and the demand for them is steadily growing.
Occupational health psychologists collaborate with a multidisciplinary occupational health care team to support workplaces, individuals and work communities well-being by bringing psychological expertise to the team. Their services include conducting workplace assessments to identify psychological and interactional stressors and resources, and evaluating how these factors affect employee health.
The counselling and guidance services provided by occupational health psychologists include stress-reduction strategies, techniques to improve workplace interactions, and methods to resolve workplace conflicts. These services are directed at workplaces, supervisors, or individual employees.
We also offer individual consultations for employees who have been referred by an occupational health nurse or doctor. In these meetings, the occupational health psychologist helps the employee identify and address work-related challenges affecting their work ability and well-being.
Welcome to the team, Josefina!
We warmly welcome occupational health psychologist Josefina Öst to our team!
Josefina joined our team on 1 January 2026. She is mainly based in our Jakobstad office and is also available in Kokkola. With previous experience as a school psychologist, she values preventive care:
– I’m looking forward to strengthening our customers’ work ability through my expertise while developing the role of an occupational psychologist within our professional team, Josefina says.
Josefina has special expertise in human relations, which are crucial for effective work communities. She provides individual support to employees, such as guidance during workplace crises or assessments of work ability, as agreed with the company. She also delivers lectures on occupational health topics and offers short-term therapy services under a separate agreement.
We provide occupational psychologist services in Finnish, Swedish, and English, offering both in-person and remote appointments.
You can book an appointment with an occupational health psychologist through your company’s occupational health care or by calling our health care counselling on +358 (0) 6 781 3510 (Mon–Fri 8:00–11:30).
