Botnia introduces a call-back service

Starting on 1.12, a long-awaited service will be introduced at Botnia: the possibility to leave a call-back request if there is a queue for the nurses’ telephone advice service. You call the nurses’ telephone line so they can assess what type of care you need.

The telephone advice service will continue to be open from 8:00 to 11:30, and the same number remains in use: 06-781 3510. The only difference is that if there is a queue on the line, you will be offered the option to leave a call-back request, which allows you to avoid waiting if your matter is not urgent.

After leaving a call-back request, please keep your phone available and switched on so that our nurses can reach you when they call back. Please leave only one call-back request.

You can leave a call-back request for the following matters:

  • Long-lasting or worsening musculoskeletal problems, provided the pain is not due to a fall or other accident
  • Routine check-ups
  • Vaccinations
  • Preventive care, follow-up appointments related to chronic illnesses
  • Requesting a referral for tests before a follow-up appointment
  • Renewing prescriptions or reviewing your medication
  • Medical certificates

If your matter is urgent, you should always stay in the queue so that we can help you as quickly as possible. Urgent matters include:

  • Prolonged colds and fever
  • Abdominal pain
  • Earache
  • Eye infections
  • Wounds
  • Urinary tract symptoms

If you are ill and absent from work, always first check with your workplace whether you need a certificate or if a self-notification is sufficient. If your workplace has an occupational health agreement that includes medical care and you need a sick leave paper, book an appointment with the nurse online.
If your workplace has an occupational health agreement that does not include medical care, contact the wellbeing services county for an assessment of your need for care.

If you are concerned about your work ability, your mental wellbeing or something related to your work environment, book an appointment or a phone consultation with your own occupational health nurse online.
